Hello

I'm Helen, the proud owner of Groom, Dorking. I am also the owner of a (crazy) cocker spaniel, Honey, who has been in our family since 2014. She has been such a joy to our lives.

I previously gained 14 years experience working within creative agencies that very people driven and being a professional person myself, I felt I had the transferable skills to running my very own dog grooming studio in both the creative/practical and theory side.

In 2021, after taking some time off to take care of my first child, I decided to embark on a new adventure doing something that I can pump all of my creative energy and experience into. I enrolled myself onto a 10 week, Level 1 dog grooming course at Merrist Wood College, whilst also studying how to run a successful independent dog grooming business. I have since gone on to complete Level 2 and passed with a distinction, achieving a City & Guilds certification.

I had a beautiful studio built at the back of my garden, which serves as a perfect space to groom and for the dogs to feel comfortable in during their experience.

Whether you are introducing your new puppy, or you have a dog who is used to to the grooming experience, with me you can feel rest assured that your pet will be treated with only the best experience personally and professionally. As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of wanting your dog to feel happy, calm and comfortable in what can sometimes be an anxious experience.
